PRAYER PROGRAM Ecuador

HABACUC PROJECT

The Habaccuc Prayer Project is an initiative focused on prayer and reflection on how it can positively impact the 12 mentioned societal structures. The project promotes the idea that by praying more frequently, deeply, and consistently, we can improve the well-being and quality of life in our communities and the world at large. Each of the 12 societal structures mentioned, such as governance, economy, family, education, and others, are key areas where prayer can have a positive impact. The Habakkuk Prayer Project is based on the belief that by praying and reflecting on how we can improve our communities and the world, we can contribute to positive, lasting, and generational change.

PRAYER PROGRAM

The Habaccuc Project is essentially about prayer, comprised of three lines or criteria that we hope will be embraced as challenges or goals: pray more, pray better, pray always. The following templates outline the program we have constructed, calling it the ‘Habaccuc Project.’ It is easy to understand and implement; we pray that it can be embraced and that you will reap the rewards of the Lord.

  1. Habaccuc Table: Divine Order, “Write the Vision.” The purpose of this table is to schedule prayer and do it punctually for seven people in one week (or as desired) in seven different places. (One hour per day would be ideal, MARK 14-40).

  2. Habaccuc Agenda Explained in Templates: a. Organization. DAYS. Pray More. The goal of this template is to challenge you: praying will always be a challenge, organizing and disciplining oneself to pray is the best way to reach better places. The task is to never give up.

    b. Planning. PEOPLE. Pray Better. The goal of this template is to focus on specific places and people. “Habaccuc” as a prophet who prays for his nation must be understood and applied as a plea before God from all spheres.

    c. Recommendation. PLACES. Pray Always. In this template, we want to affirm these seven generalities and premises with the acronym “Habaccuc” to outline our commitment and responsibility in prayer.
